7th May 2021

Hi,

My name is Mrs Akhtar and I have been a Teaching Assistant at St. Clement’s for just over 13 years. It is a pleasure to work with amazing staff and children and I am still amazed by the beautiful smiles that greet me in the mornings.

This term in Year 2, we have been enjoying reading an alternate version to the traditional tale, Rapunzel. The children have been exploring the different characters and similarities and differences between the two stories. Next week, the children will be writing their own version of the twisted tale.  Can't wait to read their amazing stories!

My goal as a Teaching Assistant is to help each child learn by whatever method he or she learns best. I also want them to be so excited about their learning that they'll want the desire to learn more. I firmly believe that everybody learns every day and life itself consists of a life-long learning journey.

Next week Muslims will be marking the end of the month of Ramadan with Eid-Ul-Fitr. It is a joyous occasion where special prayers will be held, food will be prepared and gifts will be handed out. I would like to wish all the Muslims Eid Mubarak and hope you have a wonderful time.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday.
