Geography

At St. Clement’s, we want to ignite children’s curiosity and fascination about the world around them and the wider world and provokes and provide answers to questions about the natural and human aspects of the world. We want children to think and behave like a Geographer; giving our children the opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge of where places are and what they are like, both in Britain and the wider world to help develop their knowledge and understanding of the Earth’s physical and human processes.

We are committed to providing children with opportunities to investigate and make enquiries about their local area of Nechells and Birmingham so that they can develop of real sense of who they are, their heritage and what makes our local area unique and special. Through ideas such as: ‘The Scale of the World’ and ‘Sustainability and the Environment’, children will learn their role as global citizens and their place within the world. We understand the importance of being a global citizen and being aware and curious about current issues that affect every one of us and ensure that we do our bit for our ever changing world!
